Responsibilities
Our Client , Axiom Telecom, is the largest and leading, authorized distributor and retailer for international brands such as Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Siemens, Thuraya, i-mate and Simpletech. Axiom specializes in wireless communication products and boasts more than 200 outlets under its management in prime retail locations across the UAE.

Axiom is also the exclusive telecom partner for Emirate Service Stations and more recently Enoc & Eppco Petrol station where Mobile Phone accessories are sold in over 190 stations.
Axiom is more than a retailer. The company is made up of different business units. Retail is the flagship business where Axiom is clearly the largest and most advance retailer in the region. Wholesale makes Axiom the biggest multi-brand distributor in the Middle East and Europe.

Axiom Telecom is in urgent need of a Junior Brand Executive to join their workforce. The Junior Brand Executive (JBE) will be as dedicated resource within the van operation to assist in the development of Market Research, Trade Marketing and Promotional Initiatives with existing principals.
With direction from his Line Manager, and in consultation with the category manager the JBE will research, plan and action all promotional programs in support of the van operation strategy. The role will require:
Liaising with the principles to secure supports for promotional activities and NPIs
Analysis of the daily sales reports, and making recommendations where applicable.
Working with the sales force to exploit opportunities in the market
Managing and administrating Point of sales Materials.
Producing market reports for management and principals.
Planning and monitoring effective use of the budget.

In managing a diverse range of analytical tasks and manpower activities, the JBE will maintain a close interaction with salesmen, Market Manager, Business analyst, the trade, consumers, and be the main day to day associate contact with Principals for trade marketing related issues.
Principal Accountabilities:-
1. Functional:
Responsible for continuously evaluating the competitive advantages of the Brands in the associate portfolio and make recommendations in support of the van operations marketing objectives.
Research and the market place for all current methods of promotions and research trade accounts for preferred promotional methods.
Plan, action and evaluate promotional activities to maximize consumer off take for Product launches and re launches.
Execute all principals promotional objectives and programmes where plans are defined by ands agreed internally and with the principal.
Set distribution objectives for the point of sales materials and produce a monthly report detailing success by salesman by trade segment: stock levels and reorder details.
To undertake market research activities as directed by Line Manager.
Ensure principal provided and agreed planograms are implemented successfully in the market by facilitating training for salesmans and merchandisers, and agreeing implementation times scales with sales managers.
Conduct Retail Audit of Distribution on quarterly basis.
2. Organizational:
Achieve target of 25% time accompanying salesman/merchandiser in market per month.
Issue and present briefing document for all promotions to sales force.
Conduct regular performance reviews of distribution & merchandising standards and suggest corrective action where necessary.
Produce monthly reports as per agreed template.
Producing monthly and add hoc market reports for sales managers on promotional activity, according to the needs.
Maintain data bank of competitor information and market data relevant for the territory.
3. Financial:
Ensure that the budgeted allowances, claims and distribution of POS material set by the Market Manager are achieved.
Ensure all marketing campaigns are achieved within budgeted guidelines as agreed with the principal and / or the Market manager
Maintain an audit of expenditure and recovery plan, and included in the monthly report to the divisional manager, immediately highlighting any discrepancies in the plans.
Evaluate success and cost effectiveness of all trade related spend and report back to market manager and to any changes/ improvements recommended
Assure responsibility for advising finance in respect of all debit/notes to be raised for trade related activities.
Review balances in various promotion funds with finance on a monthly basis.

Specific deliverables:-
NPIs:
Keep track of new product launches i.e. date of shipment expected; launch date, coordinate with channel managers to prepare for launch plan.
Secure optimal allocations of new & existing skus in order to reflect strategic importance and tactical needs of channel.
Coordinate launch briefings for team, arrange POSM, dummy phones, premiums.
Forecast:
Compile bottom up forecast with trends in light of market intelligence, pricing dynamics and interdepartmental agreements.
Follow up on shipments with logistics, highlights deviations from plan and recommend solutions to close gaps
Coordinate with other dept to secure stock in case of low stock or OOS.
Coordinating with suppliers.
i.For product trainings
ii.To obtain research based market information/trends.e.g. market shares, pricing brackets trends, distribution etc
iii.Arrange, design and coordinate promotions.
iv.Obtain info from suppliers on product life cycle
Pricing/others:
- Highlight underperforming price segments/models and recommend activities/promotions to close gaps
- Coordinate with W/S to be in line with internal price.
- Compile competition info from channel sales team.
- On the basis of above review and suggest selling prices.
