Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for network security. The successful candidate will work on local projects, providing hands-on implementation, support, and acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in network and security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation & Deployment:
Design, implement, and manage network and security solutions for local projects.
Deploy and configure Cisco NGFW, ISE, SD-WAN, ACI, and Palo Alto NGFW systems.
Ensure seamless integration of network components into existing infrastructure.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for network and security-related issues.
Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and patch management to ensure the security and efficiency of the network.
Respond to and resolve incidents and requests within agreed SLAs.
Subject Matter Expert (SME):
Serve as the go-to expert for all network and security-related queries.
Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and clients.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in network security.
Project Management:
Work closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Participate in planning, design, and review meetings, providing technical input and recommendations.
Document configurations, procedures, and policies for ongoing projects.
Security & Compliance:
Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard networks against potential threats.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with local and international security standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Certification: CCIE (preferred); CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in network and security engineering.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Cisco NGFW, ISE, SD-WAN, ACI, and Palo Alto NGFW.
Strong knowledge of network architecture, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
