We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automobile Technician to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
The Senior Automobile Technician will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various vehicles. This role involves troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, ensuring vehicle safety and performance, and mentoring junior technicians. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and a strong commitment to quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics and Repair:
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
- Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Preventive Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
- Develop and follow maintenance schedules to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
- Technical Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and apprentices.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets industry standards and customer expectations.
- Quality Assurance:
- Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify the resolution of issues.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, ensuring all repairs are performed correctly the first time.
- Ensure that all vehicles are serviced in a timely manner to minimize customer wait times.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues, required repairs, and estimated costs.
- Provide advice on vehicle care and maintenance to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Address any customer concerns or questions in a professional and courteous manner.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure that the workshop complies with local regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to best practices in workplace safety.
- Leadership:
- Mentor and train junior technicians, sharing expertise and promoting skill development.
- Assist in the supervision of workshop operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an automobile technician in U.A.E, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Extensive experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models, including luxury and high-performance vehicles.
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification or diploma in automotive technology or mechanical engineering preferred.
- Skills:
- Advanced diagnostic and repair skills for a wide range of vehicles.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools, equipment, and software.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
