Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing the day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and in compliance with regulations, accounting fundamentals and standards.
Working closely with Finance Operations (FinOps) and Business Controlling (BCO) teams on Variable Cost, Pricing, Invoicing, and Pass-through cost.
Having in-depth understanding of the business operational drivers and takes ownership of overall performance.
Engaging with Operations team to stay updated on business developments that impact performance.
Producing relevant management reports, gap analysis and co-create improvement plans with the Operations team.
Using balanced and independent evaluation to provide data, challenge performance deviation from target, and drive business decisions across multiple stakeholders and management levels.
Contributing and helping to deliver on cost saving plans.
Managing MLP profitability at product-level, customer-level, and total site vs. approved Business Case and vs the Budget. Responsible for identifying trends and sharing insights to the business.
Playing a critical role in building MLP quarter and annual financial forecast.
Supporting the deliverables of the Accounting Manager and Finance Business Partners by providing insightful MLP-related business analysis and commentary on a timely basis.
P&L ownership for MLP.
Closely controlling CAPEX spend vs. approved Business Case, ensuring capitalization is compliant with Maersk accounting standards.
Developing asset inventory and monitor asset register in the system with periodic physical asset count.
Closely controlling MLP-related SG&A cost, deep-dive analysis on actual performance vs. forecast, identifying trends and plans to optimize costs.
Facilitating the financial activities for the site (payments, process setup, reconciliation, customer on-boarding, etc).
Supporting in Working Capital and funding requirements.
Supporting in Automation and System Integration.
Interaction with Implementation team to ensure meeting necessary license/local legal requirements.
Establishing controls framework on site accounting and operational process and ensuring adherence to Maersk standards & BCO requirements.
Supporting Procurement and HSSE organization on third party vendor management.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or other related fields with minimum work experience of 10 years in Finance/Accounting.
Strong knowledge and experience with IFRS. Chartered Accountant qualification is a plus.
Experience working in Logistics/Warehousing is a plus.
Experience of working in a fast paced/growth environment.
Experience of working closely with offshore teams in Service Centers is preferred.
Be highly proficient in the use of financial/operational systems and tools – ideally with hands-on SAP user experience.
Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office Power point & Excel.
