Job Description

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Capable of researching and seeking potential new vendors.
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers and capable of negotiating contract of terms and pricing when required.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Capable of reviewing quality of purchased products.
  • Proficient in using and entering order details (e.g. vendors, products, prices, quantities etc.) into internal databases.
  • Capable of maintaining updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices.
  • Capable of monitoring stock levels and placing orders when and as needed.
  • Coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
  • Proficient in preparing reports on purchases, and cost analysis reports as required by the Management.

Job qualifications/requirements

  • 6 – 8 years of experience working as a procurement engineer within the construction industry in any GCC country.
  • Preferably a bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Proven work experience as a purchasing officer, purchasing executive or similar role within the construction industry.
  • Understanding of supply chain procedures and good negotiation skills.
