Job Description

Emirates Nature - WWF is seeking a proactive and technically adept Junior IT Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-level technical support and troubleshooting for various IT systems and platforms. This role is ideal for a tech-savvy individual looking to develop their skills in a dynamic and impactful organization dedicated to sustainability and environmental conservation.

Major Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Assist in setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Provide technical support across the company, resolving issues promptly.
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on systems and software including firewalls, switches, servers, hypervisors, and endpoints.
  • Perform routine audits on asset inventory, software inventory, and ensure devices are registered in our security and management tools.
  • Provision and track user assets and servers.
  • Develop and maintain IT process documents.
  • Support network security efforts, including firewall management and data protection.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of IT infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • College Diploma or Higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in computer repair shops or as an IT admin is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide support to colleagues with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Eagerness to learn, take on new challenges, and develop technical skills in a supportive environment.
