Job Description Department: Workshop Operations
Location: UAE
Reports To: Workshop Foreman
Job Purpose The Electrician is responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring and equipment using both hand and power tools. This role includes diagnosing and repairing electrical malfunctions in systems, circuits, transformers, and other components.
Key Responsibilities 1. Health and Safety
- Lead by example to establish a Health & Safety culture aligned with Group policies.
- Promote Health & Safety through meetings, initiatives, and the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) on/off site.
- Submit Near Miss and VPC reports in iCare and comply with company limits on working hours.
- Conduct risk assessments and prepare necessary permits before starting tasks.
2. Environmental Management
- Maintain awareness and adhere to environmental regulations, and report any incidents of non-compliance.
3. Quality Assurance
- Support and positively represent quality programs and foster a professional image when liaising externally.
4. Workshop Operations
- Respond to and address non-compliance issues.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicle and generator electrical systems as instructed.
- Report all health and safety incidents, defective tools, or equipment to Workshop Foreman.
- Complete required documentation for each electrical repair and maintenance task.
5. Logistics
- Maintain accurate records of equipment issues and maintenance logs.
6. Interaction and Collaboration
- Engage with in-house departments and contribute to planning and improvement initiatives.
- Offer insights and feedback to Workshop Foreman and Maintenance Manager on operational matters.
7. Internal Controls
- Assist in internal control topics and process improvements, following the Code of Business Conduct.
8. Legal and Ethical Compliance
- Understand and comply with competition laws and Group policies on conflicts of interest, anti-bribery, and business conduct.
General Duties - Undertake other duties as required by the Workshop Foreman or Maintenance Manager to ensure professional operations.

Qualifications and Experience - Education: Diploma or Certificate in a relevant field.
- Certification: Certified electrician qualified to isolate electrical sources (third-party certification preferred).
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in workshop operations in the UAE; ITI Certificate required.
- License: UAE Driver’s License (preferred).
Skills and Competencies - Results-oriented, organized, and self-managing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Effective communication skills in English, with Arabic or Hindi as an advantage.
- Strong time management, listening, and relationship-building skills.
