Description :  a) Successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering complemented by a chemistry background with a preference for analytical instrumentation engineering, and have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in analytical applications for the oil and gas industry.
b) Responsible for handling analyzers design packages, new analyzer method development, analyzer performance & reliability monitoring and troubleshooting, application of micro-Gas Chromatograph for IN-SITU process troubleshooting, Support analyzer sampling systems, mentoring and training analyzer technicians.
c) Provide technical assistance/troubleshooting assistance in resolving instrument design, operation and maintenance problems and contact internal and external experts as required.
d) Understand various analyzer technologies and hardware and how they apply.
e) Understand sample conditioning principles and hardware and how to apply them to process analyzer systems.
f) Working knowledge of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS), Gas Chromatograph Analyzers, distributive control systems, implementing new solutions and creating new reliability programs targeting longer run-times and safer operations.
g) Provide engineering design and specifications to support procurement and construction activities for projects.
h) Identify opportunities for improved process analyzers, sample systems, and online analytical services, i.e., pertaining to quality, cost and reliability.
i) Maintain technical expertise in assigned functional areas of process analyzers and sample systems.
j) Provide forecast cost and schedule estimates for capital and maintenance projects.
k) Commission and calibrate/validate different types of refinery process analyzers.
l) Apply benchmarking system to ensure and validate the quality of analyzer generated data.
m) Develop engineering design package required to fix analyzer problems.
n) Understand and operate different and advanced field process analyzers such as FTIR, GC, CFPP, Distillation, Density, Conductivity, TOC, RVP, Oxygen and NOX/SOX.
o) Review design drawing and engineering specifications to ensure conformance with relevant standards and practices.
p) Implement company safety, health and environment management system.
q) Ensure the availability of analyzer systems and Generate daily and monthly reports to reflect the percentage availability of analyzer systems and drawing up failure cause reports.
r) Review and monitor the daily performance of the process analyzers with the affected area operation team.
s) Develop all the required reliability KPI to monitor the online analyzers daily performance and conditions.
t) Establish a long-term obsolescence program and propose required upgrade in coordination with the process analyzer suppliers.
u) Extend support to the field maintenance technicians in doing the required daily troubleshooting for the problems reported on process analyzers
Should initiate, review and optimized On-Line Analyzers Preventive Maintenance Procedures and Schedules.
