- Design and develop database management systems applications, ensuring alignment with end-user needs.
- Create, operate, maintain and administer all SCAD databases to ensure that performance is in line with the agreed performance indicators and all data is stored securely. Tune database applications for optimum performance. Monitor database usage and take actions to ensure effective capacity.
- Identify and define metadata elements to be included in the SCAD Data Depository, according to international standards, so that all relevant metadata information will be stored uniformly and in one location.
- Identify and locate all statistical data that is developed or acquired by SCAD, including all relevant metadata, in order to avoid duplication in compiling or acquiring datasets. Assist statisticians to locate and collect data from administrative resources in order to increase and update the available information within SCAD in an efficient and controlled way.
- Contribute towards the development of a SCAD Metadata Management System, so that all metadata information is accurate and up-to-date and easily available.
