Telecommunications Senior Engineer
Position Summary:
The Telecommunications Senior Engineer responsible for the architecture and engineering of approximately 40,000 SIP stateful voice ports (with potential scalability to 100,000+ SIP ports) on latest Oracle SIP environment. This is a global environment which will integrate with multi-vendor ACD strategy. Provide technical mentorship of SIP operations support team.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for the implementation, testing and training of new communication projects
Engineer and implement peering for both customer and carrier facing SIP networks
Design and establish open architecture to support a multi-vendor and proprietary ACD integration strategy
Responsible for monitoring and capacity management of the enterprise SIP infrastructure
Researches new technologies in the areas of network convergence.
Contributes the development and manages the SIP / VoIP strategy
Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for all assigned SIP/VoIP network designs.
Presents complex architecture to multiple levels within the organization from the executive level to highly technical professionals
Acts as a liaison with vendors and third party providers.
Provides escalated levels of troubleshooting and support the SIP/VoIP infrastructure
Capable of project managing complex technical projects, and communicating status to Customers.
Acts as an escalation point for Tier-2 service support issues
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, multi-cultural, customer-oriented environment.
Ability to work days, evenings, and weekends as required; 24x7 support.
