Essential Job Functions: ? Support Development teams to optimize and standardize database changes through builds and deployments. ? Provision MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations. ? Essential Database administration - upgrade, backup, recovery, migration. ? Help architect to implement solutions that solve complicated application challenges, including application performance, scalability, and security. This includes schema, index and key design and enterprise application architecture. ? Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases ? Troubleshoot database problems and failures, to determine the causes and possible solutions, implements solutions to resolve problems. ? Monitor database operations and prepare monthly activity reports for the reporting manager regarding activities, database problems and utilization ? Perform database backups and disaster recovery operations. ? Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders (Customers, Operations team, Development team) ? Document and share database best practices and procedures Job Requirements: Technical/Personnel Qualifications ? Bachelor?s degree with major coursework in computer science or related discipline. ? Certified MySQL 5.6 Database Administrator a plus ? Must have a minimum of 5 years of solid hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL, noSQL and including analytical function is required
