Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Department Assistant to join our Delivery Services department. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating with Delivery Drivers, resolving their issues, and serving as the primary point of contact for all delivery-related matters within the department. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage interdepartmental coordination seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination with Delivery Drivers:

Communicate efficiently with Delivery Drivers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Implement effective scheduling strategies to optimize delivery routes.

Address any challenges or concerns raised by Delivery Drivers promptly.

Issue Resolution:

Proactively identify and resolve issues that may arise during the delivery process.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address challenges and ensure smooth operations.

Point of Contact:

Act as the primary point of contact for all Delivery Drivers within the department.

Foster a positive and supportive working relationship with the drivers to enhance overall team cohesion.

Interdepartmental Communication/Coordination:

Facilitate communication between the Delivery Services department and other relevant departments.

Ensure seamless coordination to enhance overall efficiency and productivity.

Administrative Support:

Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, document preparation, and maintaining records related to deliveries.
