An excellent opportunity is available with a Asia-headquartered financial services group for a Risk Officer in Dubai that will have overall responsibility for the Risk Management function of the International Wealth Management division in the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising the Governing Body or Senior Management of risks to which the Firm, its representatives, customers, and businesses might be exposed.
  • Establishing internal risk policy and structures for business units.
  • Management and setting of the Risk Framework including Risk Appetite Framework, Limits and Control Measures, Risk Reporting and Analytics
  • Conduct suitability review/monitoring for advisory investments with accordance to internal & procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in end-to-end policy implementation process, including the design and localization procedures for DIFC branch

The Risk Officer will possess a degree or equivalent preferably in a relevant discipline with excellent experience in Risk Management in a Private Bank or Wealth Management unit of an international financial institution preferably within the DIFC. Candidates from local financial institutions with similar experience are welcome to apply. You will have knowledge of financial services laws and regulations within the DIFC, awareness of overseas regulations and international private banking best practices, excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships with Front Office stakeholders with a sound understanding of DFSA Rules and Regulations.
