Job duties and responsibilities
- Capable of working on various well head platforms refurbishment scopes, plant shutdowns, piping refurbishment scopes, vessel repair, structural repair, and all other activities related to turnaround.
- Capable of planning and organizing facilities testing and commissioning during project handover, including acceptance testing protocols, quality control procedures.
- Capable of providing mechanical engineering support to the turnaround activities and provide expertise for the review of key documents/deliverables.
- Responsible for the technical adequacy, completeness, and quality of all mechanical deliverables, as well as the schedule and budgeted workhours.
- Capable of working on assigned projects and coordinates with other engineers, planning, organizing, delegating, influencing, and leading his assigned Projects (Schemes and Management of Change Work Packs).
- Proficient in being familiar with the clients business environment to effectively lead projects.
- Capable of coordinating with relevant stakeholders, both inside and outside the organization.
- Providing regular guidance to other junior team members as required.
- Ensuring that the scope and schedule of projects are achievable within the given time and budget.
- Ensuring adherence to HSE policies and procedures, performing in accordance with HSE Standards and maintained to standards or corrected to meet HSE requirements.
Job qualifications/requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working as a project or mechanical engineer in the oil and gas industry.
- Preferably candidates with an engineering degree from a reputed university.
- Should possess leadership skills and have the ability to work as part of a team.
- Good presentation, written communication, and IT skills.
- Experience in managing Brownfield Projects.
- Strong Contractors management expertise
- A proven track record of planning, coordinating, and executing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with implementing and using Project management Processes.
