Job Summary:
As a Course Counselor, you have to plays a vital role in guiding and supporting students throughout their academic journey at Edu Planners. You will provide personalized assistance with course selection, program information, and career planning while ensuring students have the resources and support to succeed.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group advising sessions to help students understand their educational options and choose the right program or course of study.
- Assess student needs and academic goals, providing guidance on appropriate courses, pathways, and career options.
- Interpret academic policies and procedures, explaining them clearly and ensuring student compliance.
- Assist students with registration, enrollment, and financial aid application processes.
- Monitor student progress, identify any academic challenges, and provide them with appropriate resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, advising notes, and program enrollment data.
- Collaborate with faculty, academic advisors, and other student support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Stay up-to-date on new program offerings, career trends, and relevant industry information.
- Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in education, counseling, or a related field preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in computer applications and student information systems.
- Proven experience in academic advising or student support services highly desirable.
