Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook with expertise in Qatari cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing traditional Qatari dishes such as Kharoof, Majboos, Hares, Saloona, and various other specialties. As a Qatari Cuisine Cook, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an authentic and memorable dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

Menu Preparation: Plan, create, and update the Qatari cuisine menu based on traditional recipes and seasonal availability of ingredients.

Cooking: Prepare a variety of Qatari dishes, including Kharoof (lamb roasted with rice), Majboos (spiced rice with meat or seafood), Hares (wheat and meat stew), Saloona (Qatari-style stew), and other Qatari specialties.

Ingredient Selection: Source and select the freshest and highest-quality ingredients for all Qatari cuisine dishes, ensuring an authentic taste and presentation.

Food Safety: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.

Quality Control: Maintain consistency in the taste, presentation, and quality of Qatari dishes, while also being open to customer feedback for improvement.

Kitchen Operations: Oversee kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Ensure the kitchen is well-organized and clean.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, including sous chefs and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth operations during service hours.

Menu Innovation: Contribute to menu development and innovation by creating new Qatari cuisine dishes that align with customer preferences and seasonal ingredients.

Customer Interaction: Interact with customers, answer questions about the menu, and provide recommendations for Qatari dishes.

Cost Control: Manage food costs by minimizing wastage, controlling portion sizes, and ensuring the efficient use of ingredients.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Cook specializing in Qatari cuisine or Middle Eastern cuisine.

Deep knowledge of Qatari culinary traditions, recipes, and techniques.

Familiarity with traditional Qatari ingredients and spices.

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Strong attention to detail and passion for creating visually appealing dishes.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Food safety and sanitation certification is a plus.

Creative and innovative approach to menu development.

Education:

A culinary arts degree or equivalent culinary training is preferred but not required. Relevant experience and a strong passion for Qatari cuisine are highly valued.
