Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, managing a team of accountants, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Accountant Lead will play a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the companys financial activities.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and supervise a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the finance team.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Work closely with other departments to develop and manage budgets.
- Provide financial forecasts and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.
- Keep abreast of changes in accounting regulations and update policies accordingly.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Present financial reports to the executive team, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Audit Management:
- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely completion and accurate reporting.
- Implement recommendations from audits to improve financial processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience (2-6 year) in a senior accounting or finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Previous experience leading and managing a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
