Job Description:
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Identifying new fabric developments & testing processes. Redesign and develop current uniform products in line with new market trends, developments, and specifications.
Identifying trends and introducing new products and styles to further enhance the uniform product offering.
Visit trade fares to explore, identify, and develop new fabric, printing, washing, & testing methods for new fabrications and new product developments.
Work closely with the buying Office, and design department in developing and redesigning uniform changes when and if needed by respective schools.
Study new product specification developments and apply them to the Company’s current specification model where needed.
Lead and managed whole uniform change projects at school levels.
QUALITY /PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT
1. Evaluating the product specifications against the approved product range.
2. Understanding and evaluating laboratory test reports on samples received from suppliers against the testing requirements stipulated by the company and that agreed with the suppliers.
3. Ensuring product compliance with legal and quality standards.
4. Planning & implementing performance improvement and quality assurance programs
5. Maintaining and setting up administrative and critical path control procedures.
6. Coordinating with Suppliers, Factories, and Vendors as applicable.
7. Understanding, assessing, performing the tests, procedures & investigating product modifications
8. Liaise with both local and international suppliers.
9. Setting quality assurance, and compliance objectives to achieve quality targets.
10. Assessing the product specifications and testing them with customer requirements.
11. Determining quality-related training requirements and providing training.
12. Guiding production staff about the quality measures.
COMPETENCIES
- Internal & external communication, - Sampling, - Labdips, - Accessories & trims, - Advising and assisting production and the Quality Department about the quality level, - Mediating production and quality departments, - Taking responsibility for inspections.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT, INTERFACES AND DECISION MAKING
1. Proven record of efficiency in Garments/ Clothing production
2. Resource Management (production, sourcing)
3. Experience in production processes.
4. Clear presentation skills.
5. Appropriate degree or qualification
6. Knowledge and understanding of production processes.
7. Strategic Planning.
8. Information Communication Technology familiarity.
