Position Description
Job Title: Junior Structural Engineer - United Arab Emirates
Reporting Into: Head of Structural Engineering
Direct Reports: TBA
Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Job Objective:
Perform structural design for steel structures using international standards American, British, and similar along with the local regulations. Design of concrete structures is an added value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops structural design in coordination with other trades working on the project.
- Ensure the correctness and accuracy of the design documents.
- Studies, prepares, and validates design documentation for assigned job activities.
- Answers external and internal technical queries.
- Structural reviews of drawings.
- Schedules and coordinates group job activities.
- Overall job management and control of low to high-complexity projects.
- Ensure delivery is as per client requirements.
- Assist the Senior Design Engineer in monitoring progress as per schedule.
- Oversee and manage the function of the draftsman.
- Recommend initiatives to improve efficiency, time, and cost.

Technical
- Knowledge of PEB and HR steel designs and codes (BS/American).
- Knowledge of computer-aided design programs such as Staad and ETABS.
- Knowledge of computer drafting systems such as CAD and BIM software such as Revit.
Education and Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience having worked with steel structures.
- Available to work long hours and perform site visits for ongoing projects.
