Job description - Travel Agency Manager
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Travel Agency Manager / Senior Consultant / Team Lead, to lead our team of travel consultants in delivering exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in the travel industry, specifically with experience in managing an IATA (International Air Transport Association) accredited travel agency and a deep understanding of Dubai as a destination.
Note - The role is expected to coordinate with our office / staff in Kerala, India. Hence Malayalam speaking candidate is highly preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of travel consultants to achieve individual and team targets.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance the teams skills.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their travel needs and expectations are met.
- Address and resolve client concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the client base.
Product Knowledge and Innovation:
- Stay updated on industry trends, travel destinations, and emerging technologies.
- Utilize Dubai destination sales experience to enhance product offerings and negotiate favorable terms.
- Work with the marketing team to develop innovative travel packages and promotions.
Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee the operational aspects of the travel consultancy, ensuring processes are efficient and in compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Sales and Revenue Management:
- Set sales targets and monitor the teams performance in achieving revenue goals.
- Leverage IATA travel agency management experience to drive sales and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets and financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the travel industry, with specific experience in managing an IATA accredited travel agency.
- In-depth knowledge of travel products, destinations, and industry trends, particularly with a focus on Dubai.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving sales targets and business objectives.
- Familiarity with travel booking systems and technology.
