Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the management, strategy, and execution of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications in our fitness facility. Your role will involve ensuring that our technology supports the operational needs of the business, enhances member experiences, and remains up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Analyze business needs presented by users and recommend technical solutions with the completion timeline
  • Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes.
  • Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
  • Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time. Audit systems and assess their outcomes. Preserve assets, information security and control structures
  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Running regular checks on network and data security
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
  • Designing training programs and workshops for staff
  • Conducting regular system audits
  • Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
  • Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget
  • Install hardware and peripheral components. Load appropriate software packages such as operating systems
  • Administer email and anti-virus systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues relative to all corporate software in a timely manner
  • Participate in all hardware and software evaluations and maintain vendor contracts
  • Produce detailed timelines and implement effective project control for each software release
  • Control and monitor data, network access and backup systems
  • Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new softwares and troubleshooting
