Job Objective:
The Plan & Proposal Engineer is responsible to the New Build Proposal Manager for producing compliant, professional, competitive, and well-timed New Ship Build proposal documents for tenders/RFPs and for day to day management, policy complying with the New Build Proposal Department.

Responsibilities:

Proposal Management
  • Ensure compliance to estimation policies and procedures for the New Build proposal
  • Review Request for Proposal (RFP) documents for requirements, prepare proposal milestone schedules, outlines, and cross reference matrixes
  • Knowledge of Ship Building Norms and Standards for estimation
  • Proactively communicate with Engineering Department and New Build Proposal Manager to ensure all necessary resources and activities are available to achieve a successful proposal submission
  • Co-ordinate Bid No Bid, Estimation Kick-Off and Proposal discussions meetings and track actions
Budgeting and Financial Planning
  • Manage estimation, plan for New Tender proposal.
  • Updating Budgetary cost estimation for Tender proposal.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
  • Manage and ensure effective implementation of policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned activity so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements, fulfilled while generating a competitive estimation, plan.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in same position.
  • Must have shipbuilding experience, mix of naval, commercial, O&G and boat building experience
