Coordinate, review and assist the line manager in maintaining all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner covering holistic environmental and sustainability business needs from office to yard operations.
Coordinate and collaborate with all DDW internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Environmental and sustainability programs are effectively communicated.
Being a focal point being DDW to coordinate in implementing with effective coordination with DPW requirements as well as Group sustainability.
Reviewing and updating EMS procedures in line with the standard considering relevant Compliance Obligation.
Representing in HSE Committee meetings as applicable. Coordinate with all trades/ department while evaluating their env and sustainability objectives and targets and its continual improvements.
Engage in EIAs and Environmental sustainability Risk Assessments. Maintain the records of reference and audit purposes
Assist all DDW Division the departments in reviewing their Environmental and sustainability Assessments as or when required.
Engaging and improving Environmental Training Modules and carrying out environmental trainings.
Preparing long term programs for improving Environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Liaising with local authorities on relevant permits/NOC and other requirements.
Assisting local authorities during relevant inspections in yard as or when required.
Carrying out environment related incident investigations, identifying adequate controls and communicating it to relevant departments.
Reviewing, verifying, and closing of online NCIRs.
Preparing environment emergency scenarios and emergency plans.
Preparation of EMS Internal Audit Plan and ensure adequate monitoring and implementation of the same.
Key contact person during external Environmental Audits such as ISO 14001 and any other or similar certification that DDW will engage.
Develop monthly and annual environmental reports for DDW leadership.
Carrying out regular inspection and audits across all DDW facilities locally and internationally (Internal as well as external);
Communicate / coordinate with other trades in terms of Environmental & sustainability performances
Analysing and monitoring Environmental and sustainability performance of their activities for the entire DDW and Divisions;
Reporting incidents and non-compliances/Conformity to the HSE Director.
Liaise with other discipline supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
Assist the Environment Officer – Sr. in planning activities as required.
