Waiter/Waitress uplifts the dining experience for customers. Ensures guest satisfaction by providing excellent service at all times. Responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, allergens, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and processing guest’s payment transaction. Ability to handle stress and pressure working with other departments and attending to guest’s needs. A team player and be able to effectively communicate with our Kitchen Staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
- Greets and escort guests to their tables.
- Anticipates guests’ needs and provide a memorable dining experience with cantine.
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (ex. about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies)
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, cutleries, and glasses.
- Provides excellent service guided by the standard sequence of service.
- Inform customers about the day’s specials.
- Offer menu recommendations upon request.
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Take accurate food and drinks orders, place the order to the kitchen and bar using a POS ordering software, order slips or by memorization.
- Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
- Serve food and drink orders.
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems.
- Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area.
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments.
- Carry dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to kitchen for cleaning.
- Attend shift briefings to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations.
- Follow all relevant health department regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests.
- Providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction.
- Taking customer orders and delivering food and beverages
- Making menu recommendations, answering questions, and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons
- Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
- Answer customers questions and get a manager if answer doesnt solve the issue.
- Watch for guests’ who may need assistance and provide needed advice or information.
- Accept, punch, and prepare delivery or advanced orders correctly and in a timely manner.
- Conducts daily checklists, and stocks inventory and notify manager if any shortages.
- Maintain restaurant hygiene by following standard operational procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: BD200.000 - BD210.000 per month
