Job Description
The Department of Cognitive Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Linguistics at the rank of assistant/associate professor. While the area of specialization is open, applicants with competence in the field of computational linguistics/data science will be of particular interest. The successful candidate is expected to have an excellent publication track record and a demonstrable ability to attract competitive funding.
The Department of Cognitive Sciences at UAEU is dynamic and diverse, with an excellent track record in research. We seek a collegial and talented colleague in the discipline of Linguistics. The UAEU is located in Al Ain city (Emirate of Abu Dhabi), on the border with Oman and about 1.5 hours drive from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi cities.

Minimum Qualifacation
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Linguistics.
Preferred Qualifacation
Applicants with competence in the field of computational linguistics/data science will be of particular interest.

The successful candidate is expected to have an excellent publication track record commensurate with career stage, and a demonstrable ability to attract competitive funding. The language of instruction at UAEU is English, in which native or near-native fluency is required.
