Cost Estimation Engineer
Ø Meeting with clients and project managers to discuss the scope of the project.
Ø Prepare project cost estimates, evaluate contractors’ bids, and recommend the best option.
Ø Must have a strong understanding of Oil & Gas methods and materials and an ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ø Work with project managers to ensure the project stays within budget.
Ø Should also communicate effectively with clients, division and contractors. Researching to determine the cost of materials, manpower and mobilization.
Ø Using software programs to generate cost estimates
Ø Reviewing estimates with clients and project managers
Ø Making revisions to estimates as needed
Ø Providing support during the project implementation phase
Ø Understanding the scope of the project and developing a detailed estimate
Ø Working with clients and project managers to ensure that all necessary information is gathered
Ø Adjusting estimates as necessary based on changes in the scope of the project
Education Requirements & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or (CEP) is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of budget
- Proficiency in MS dynamic F&O
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Qatar (Preferred oil &gas)
