1. General Description
Work as Senior civil structural design engineer for the civil engineering designs of renewable energies project in project development and initiating phases. Must be Familiar with the civil engineering design of solar PV power plant, wind power plant, transmission line and substation i.e. Strong Steel Structural & Renewables energy experience background is required.
1.2 Specific Responsibilities
1) Pre-feasibility study, feasibility study and technical proposal preparation of civil engineering part of solar PV and wind plant as well as the combination of renewable technologies in both of greenfield and competitive bidding projects.
2) Preparation of technical requirements for geotechnical survey, topographic survey and hydrological survey, and carry out technical evaluation of offers from potential service providers.
3) Participate in the developing of project general layout, plant layout including but not limited to road, stormwater drainage system.
4) Development and issuance of civil FEED design, including but not limited to technical specifications, drawings and other inputs that necessary for the ask for bidding from potential civil subcontractors/vendors.
5) Technical review of proposals and/or offers come from potential vendors and subcontractors.
6) Organize and carry out the development of bill of quantity (BOQ) for civil works, typically including site levelling, foundation, structure, road, stormwater drainage and civil trench works.
7) For those works that outside technical consultancy service is required for the completion of works, responsible for the technical interface coordination.
8) Carry out tech-economy comparison for the decision-making process of civil engineering design.
9) Cost estimation of civil works based on the project requirements, BOQ and other applicable inputs.
10) The integration and preparation of technical proposal/offers and solution of civil engineering design.
11) Technical communication with tenderer, client, partners in civil engineering design, including but not limited to technical clarification (both of pre-off and post-offer), meetings.
12) Site visit and investigation and the preparation of visit/investigation reports.
13) Participate in the pre-qualification assessment and/or selection process of potential subcontractors/vendors/partnered consultancies as well as in-progress assessment and post-assessment.
