As a Hairdresser/Barber, you are responsible for cutting, styling, and treating hair to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Hairdresser will also be required to build rapport with clients, up-sell products, and perform reception duties. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
· Ascertain and address customer requirements
· Cut hair using scissors, clippers and razors
· Shampoo, condition, and rinse hair
· Provide specialized treatments including conditioning, bleaching, tinting, and straightening hair
· Dry and style hair using combs, brushes, straightening irons, and other equipment
· Advise clients on hair care, recommend products, and provide technical assistance
· Attend hairdressing and cosmetics training and seminars to keep current on emerging techniques and products
· Keep client records and schedule appointments
· Perform reception duties including answering phone calls and inquiry emails
· Up-sell retail products and write up client record cards
· Maintain a clean and tidy work area
· Assist other hairdressers with tasks as applicable
· Sterilize and maintain equipment in good working condition
