Job Description

Lead a group of mechanics, electricians, welders, and their assistants within central workshop and other sites. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics procedures on construction vehicles, equipments, tools, etc.

Perform preventive maintenance as per related procedures.

Responsible for inspection of lifting equipment. Record observations and findings during diagnostics run and decide on the correct method of repair, as necessary.

Plan and organize preventive maintenance system and delegate specific tasks to concerned mechanics. Forecast and advise Logistics Manager to order spare parts for specific jobs / special jobs or for stocks replenishments.

Supervise and follow-up on actual progress of each individual repair job.

Provide on-the-job training as well as coaching and mentoring to subordinates.

Follow up repair order, registering the time taken to complete each task. Provide all sites with all technical assistance that they require from the workshop.

Ensure sufficient and suitable resources and equipment are available to complete all mechanical repair work within the agreed program.

Test and approve operators for tower cranes, construction vehicles, etc.

Conduct final check/test for all construction vehicles/equipments/tools prior to release. Responsible for the pre-preparation activities of the cranes technical inspection.

Prepare, co-ordinate and follow up third party services as required.

Monitor and facilitate repair orders.

Supervise set up (eg. hoarding, gates, site offices, lay down areas , cranes, hoists, security, temporary services, material delivery, catering, etc.) as planned / agreed by the Project Manager / Logistics Manager.
