One of the Largest Engineering & Construction Companies has vacancies in the Oil & Gas Sector across multiple locations in Oman.
Lead Project Engineer
- Single point responsibility as Cluster Lead and development of Local Project Engineers
- Develop scope of work handed over by the Company project engineer for each project to achieve the specified deliverables. Develop cost and schedule control estimates and project key control documentation.
- Responsible for management of all project reporting, interface definition, interface management, liaison with Company project engineers, maintain and control project variance logs, project audit reports, managing close-out of audit action items, early highlight and resolution of project issues.
- Exercising control over manpower and material resources in order to execute the project within budget, schedule, quality and HSE requirements.
- Actively train and encourage the development of Omani personnel to fulfill project engineer roles.
Drive a planning - execute - measure - feedback work loop methodology in project engineering.
Education
- degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.)
- minimum of 18 years experience in Project Management of Oil and Gas Facilities
- membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute
Experience, Skills & Accountabilities
- experience in Project Management of sour facilities
- sound knowledge of project cost control and planning systems
- experience in coordinating a team of project engineers
- experience on planning software tools such as Primavera
- good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate a team
Salary: negotiable

Work Schedule: 5 or 6 days depending on project assignment and location
Duration: 5 years, renewable every 2 years as per Oman Labour Law
