Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Procurement Engineer with a strong background in civil engineering, specifically in construction, road, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement processes and negotiations, particularly in dealing with subcontractors. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of the UAE market dynamics.
Responsibilities:
· Lead the procurement process for construction, road, and infrastructure projects from initiation to contract award.
· Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring a competitive and cost-effective procurement strategy.
· Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, emphasizing quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide procurement support.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure a reliable and diverse vendor base.
· Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize the procurement function.
· Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
· Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer in the UAE, specifically in construction, road, and infrastructure projects.
· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage and optimize supplier relationships.
· In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and UAE market dynamics.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
· Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards.
