Job Description

  • As part of the API Gateway implementation project, the individual will be responsible for leading the design, development and maintenance of IBM DataPower Gateway X3 devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement integrations with various systems and applications
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions using IBM DataPower Gateway X3 to meet business requirements for integration, security, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain DataPower services, including XML Firewall, Multi-Protocol Gateway, and Web Service Proxy
  • Develop and maintain API Gateway policies, including security policies, traffic management policies, and transformation policies
  • Implement security measures, such as authentication and authorization, to ensure the protection of data and resources
  • Monitor and optimize DataPower performance, capacity, and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to DataPower configurations, integrations, and performance.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation to facilitate ease of use for both internal and external developers.

Certifications :

IBM Certified Solution Implementer - DataPower Gateway

Primary Skills :

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT industry working on IBM DataPower development, administration and support.
  • Good expertise in enterprise integration, API management and middleware technologies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with IBM EAI tools like IBM Data Power, CP4I and IBM MQ
  • Minimum 2 projects with experience in designing, developing, and supporting IBM DataPower Gateway X3 appliances
  • Good experience in implementation of Web Service Proxy, Multi-Protocol Gateway, XML Firewall service
  • Good experience in AAA (authentication, authorization, auditing) and Customization of AAA Policy
  • Good knowledge on Datapower security policies
  • Good experience in SSL Proxy configuration and certificate management
  • Good experience in SOAP and/or REST-based Web services with emphasis on Security, including familiarity of SSL/TLS, WS-Security and federated security.
  • Good experience in error handling & logging in DataPower
  • Good knowledge on CI/CD and Code repository tools
  • Experience with XML, JSON, XSLT, XPath, Gateway script languages and other related technologies
  • Strong understanding of API management concepts, including RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and API security
  • Good knowledge on Swagger v2.0 implementation and open API specification
  • Experience with API security, authentication, and authorization protocols.
  • Good monitoring, logging and troubleshooting skills

Secondary Skills :

  • Strong communication, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
