Job Description

One of the reputed University in Kuwait invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare curriculum descriptions, unit summaries, and develop assessments to enhance student performance.

- Compile learning resources for the library as student references and identify necessary IT resources for academic planning.

- Maintain accurate student records, including grades and attendance, and supervise student projects providing guidance as needed.

- Serve as a substitute instructor when needed and contribute to societal engagement initiatives, including participation in graduation ceremonies.

- Assist in designing and evaluating unit syllabi to meet accreditation requirements, teaching and executing unit syllabi effectively for student success.

- Serve as an academic advisor to students across multiple units and collaborate on remediation programs for students who need additional support.

- Participate in laboratory activities as required, conduct research leading to publications and conference presentations, and develop joint research proposals with colleagues.

- Collaborate with professional associations and institutions for professional development and adhere to university policies and procedures, performing other duties assigned by the Head of Department.



Job Profile

Qualifications:

- PhD in a relevant field.

Required Experiences:

- Up to 5 years of experience in university teaching, research, or professional industry service.

- Up to 3 peer-reviewed international journal publications with impact factor.

- Industry exposure through research, consultancy, or professional activities.

- Ability to design, deliver, and evaluate instructional units.

- Experience supervising honors projects.

- Active involvement in professional associations.
