Job Title: Aluminum MIG Welder (Marine)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Aluminum MIG Welder with a specialization in the marine field to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in aluminum MIG welding within the marine industry. As an Aluminum MIG Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing aluminum structures used in marine vessels.
Responsibilities:
Aluminum Welding: Perform aluminum MIG welding tasks according to blueprints, schematics, and welding procedures.
Marine Fabrication: Fabricate, assemble, and repair aluminum structures such as hulls, decks, bulkheads, and other components used in marine vessels.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality and integrity of welded joints, inspecting workpieces for defects and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Material Preparation: Prepare aluminum materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and fitting components as necessary.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe welding practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used, hours worked, and any relevant observations or challenges encountered during the welding process.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in aluminum MIG welding, with a focus on marine applications.
Certifications: Possess relevant welding certifications, such as AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds with minimal defects.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, able to work effectively within a team environment.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and willingness to learn new welding techniques or procedures as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Marine Experience: Prior experience working on marine vessels or structures, including familiarity with marine welding standards and practices.
Additional Certifications: Any additional welding certifications or training related to aluminum welding or marine fabrication.
Welding Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with a variety of welding equipment and tools commonly used in aluminum MIG welding.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot welding issues and find effective solutions to technical challenges as they arise.
