Duties

Note: All applicants must currently hold or be able to acquire a UAE residency visa to fill the position. For non-UAE national, the Mission assists in obtaining the required residency visa to lawfully work in the UAE. Ref. to Eligibility Question #2 and Vacancy Question #1: If a non-UAE national has a valid UAE residency visa, they should answer Yes to Eligibility Q#2 and Vacancy Q#1, and attach a copy of residency visa or both sides of Emirates ID.


Basic Function of the Position
:


The incumbent operates safely and efficiently an unarmored U.S. Government-owned or leased motor vehicle to transport passengers and/or cargo. Works as messenger as directed. The incumbent works under the supervision of the Marine Security Guard (MSG) Office.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: At least three years of professional driving experience is required.


Education Requirements:

Completion of high school education is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: (This may be tested)


English level II (Limited knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Driving test is required


Must have a valid, current UAE license for light vehicle.*


  • Per 14 FAM 433.3 :

  • Chauffeurs and incidental operators of an official U.S. Government vehicle must be 25 years of age or older.

  • Chauffeurs must have a minimum of two years’ professional driving experience.

  • Incidental operators must have had a driver’s license for a minimum of five years.

  • Therefore, at the time of application, candidates seeking jobs requiring a current driver's license must also fulfill the 14 FAM 433.3 requirement. If your current UAE driver's license is obtained in less than five years, please also provide past driver's license to verify your eligibility for the 14 FAM 433.3 requirement.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
