Maintenance Foreman
Note: Must Experience in Oil & Gas
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for overseeing and directing daily maintenance activities for Woqod’s fleet, which includes aviation fuelers, hydrant dispensers, hydrant carts, semi-trailers, tankers, forklifts, and other related equipment. The Foreman plays a crucial role in coordinating maintenance tasks, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively while maintaining safety and quality standards. This position also acts as a key point of communication between the maintenance team and the Maintenance Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Coordination and Supervision
- Supervise daily maintenance operations, organizing workflows and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Ensure staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintenance Execution
- Direct the Minor and Major repair, installation, and maintenance of trucks, trailers, Aviation fuelling equipment and forklifts, ensuring work is done accurately and on schedule.
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical/Electrical issues and oversee the troubleshooting process.
- Ensure availability of machinery, equipment, and supplies needed to carry out tasks efficiently.
- Safety Compliance
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
- Perform regular safety drills and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Report to the Maintenance Supervisor about any significant incidents or accidents.
- Training and Development
- Train new and existing staff on appropriate maintenance work and safety protocols.
- Encourage and foster skill development and learning among team members.
- Communication and Reporting
- Act as the focal point for daily communication within the team and between the team and the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure effective communication regarding maintenance operations, project status, and any issues that arise.
- Prepare and submit reports on staff productivity and maintenance progress.
Qualifications:
- Education and Training
- Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in maintenance management, safety, or specific equipment repair are beneficial.
- Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance role with supervisory responsibilities, preferably within the oil and gas automotive fleet(Renault,Volvo,Mercedes) and aviation fuelling equipment.
- Skills
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficient in using tools and equipment necessary for fleet and mechanical/Electrical maintenance.
Working Conditions:
- Typically works in an industrial environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
- Physical requirements include standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and performing physically demanding tasks.
- May require availability for emergency call-out as well as weekend and evening work.
