Job Description
Install, repair, and maintain HVAC duct systems in commercial and residential buildings.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and size of ductwork.
Measure and cut sheet metal to create duct sections and fittings.
Assemble and install ductwork using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Seal joints and seams in ductwork to ensure airtightness.
Insulate ducts to prevent heat loss or gain.
Test duct systems for proper airflow and functionality.
Troubleshoot and repair ductwork issues, such as leaks or blockages.
Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as electricians and plumbers, to coordinate ductwork installation.
