We are looking for the Supply Chain, Stores, and Logistics Manager from the Gas Turbine industry or similar (energy, oil and gas) from the manufacturing, servicing, workshop environment. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain, stores, and logistics operations within IER. This role is critical in ensuring efficient and effective movement of goods and materials throughout the supply chain, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining seamless coordination with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and distribution channels.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

Supply Chain Management:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods, materials, and services.
  • Conduct market research, identify potential suppliers, and manage supplier evaluation, selection, and contract negotiation processes.
  • Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Implement procurement best practices and systems to streamline processes and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, minimize costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.

Stores Management:

  • Oversee the management of stores and warehouses, ensuring organization, inventory control, and stock accuracy. Manage the material audit function.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory data, Trade Working Capital, generating reports, and providing insights on stock availability, consumption patterns, and forecasted demand.
  • Implement measures to ensure the security, safety, and integrity of stored materials, including appropriate handling and storage practices.

Logistics Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the transportation of engines and components, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to vendors, customers or internal locations.
  • Collaborate with logistics service providers, freight forwarders, and transportation companies to negotiate rates, manage contracts, and monitor service levels.
  • Optimize routing and scheduling processes, taking into consideration factors such as delivery deadlines, cost efficiency, and customer requirements.
  • Track and trace shipments, resolve any logistical issues or delays, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead supply chain, stores, and logistics personnel, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to supply chain, stores, and logistics operations.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, implementing appropriate control measures to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain and logistics activities, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective actions.
