Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor and Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic and growing landscaping company. Our company specializes in creating outdoor spaces for residential and commercial clients. We are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in quantity surveying and procurement specifically related to garden landscaping and pool projects. Responsibilities: - Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimations for garden landscaping and pool projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. - Prepare detailed bills of quantities, cost breakdowns, and tender documents. - Collaborate with project managers, designers, and architects to ensure accurate and timely project estimates. - Research and source quality materials, plants, and equipment required for garden landscaping and pool installations. - Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing. - Evaluate bids and proposals from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budget. - Monitor project budgets, provide cost analysis reports, and proactively identify any budget deviations or cost savings opportunities. - Assist in contract administration and procurement-related documentation, ensuring all procedures are followed and contracts are executed efficiently. - Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product launches to make informed procurement decisions. - Collaborate with the project team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and Procurement Specialist within the garden landscaping and pool industry. - Strong knowledge of quantity surveying techniques, cost estimating, and project procurement. - Familiarity with landscaping materials, plants, pool equipment, and construction practices. - Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail. - Proficient in using quantity take-off software and MS Office, particularly Excel. - Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams. - Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work under pressure to meet project deadlines. - Proactive mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities. - Professional certification (such as MRICS or MCIOB) is a plus.
