Key Responsibilities
PRIME Responsibilities
- All Pricing communication with ocean carriers need to be spearheaded for both UAE and GCC shipments – be it export, import or x-trade or DAP/DDP for containerized cargo – also including break bulk and RORO shipments.
- In all carrier communication while negotiating rates, please keep PRICING OCEAN Mail Q in copy.
- Ensure to negotiate commercial terms with ocean carriers such as credit facility, long term validity etc.
- Also need to maintain PRICING files specifically to represent the BUY matrix of all carriers.
- Rates to be uploaded in the CSS Group Online Portal by every 5th of the month. This will also save time for pricing desk and others from daily communication for each and every bookings received.
- Guide the UAE & GCC sales team as and when they require rates, free time, choosing carriers etc for Ocean Freighting shipments. Determine efficient and cost-effective methods of moving goods form one location to another.
- Improve quotation turn-around time within 2-3 working hours unless there is a valid reason for which inform and acknowledge sales enquiries.
- Prepare broadcasting to the entire Sales Organization as and when received such from the ocean carriers.
- Analyse pricing of various carriers for same port-pairs and guide sales as and when required.

ADD-ON Responsibilities
Act as a back-up for all kind of strategic relationship and macro-level discussion with carriers.
Also complement other ocean pricing desks to build up the team and support whenever the need arises.
Liaise with all Agents (Domestic / International) for competitive rates and services, when requested.
Constantly be in touch with all agents by way of email to ensure an active business relationship.
We are looking for
Graduate from a recognized university.
With at least 5 years of working experience in UA.E. in similar capacity of Ocean freight Pricing. Should have market knowledge of Ocean Shipping & Transport industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Work is performed with considerable indepence and requires excellent collaboration and coordiantion skills.
Involves considerable standing and walking. May have to face unruly elements in the course of duty, requires good observation skills and initiative.
