Job Description: Lead Instructor - Medical Training Department

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Instructor to oversee our Medical Training Department. The ideal candidate will possess AHA (American Heart Association) and ASHI (American Safety and Health Institute) certified instructor status and demonstrate expertise in training life support courses such as BLS, ACLS, ITLS (International Trauma Life Support) etc.

The Lead Instructor will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering comprehensive medical training programs to ensure the highest standards of excellence in healthcare education.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and update medical training curricula in alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Ensure that training materials are current, relevant, and engaging.

Instructional Delivery: Conduct training sessions for various medical courses, including CPR, First Aid, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and trauma courses like ITLS. Employ effective instructional techniques to facilitate active learning and skill acquisition among participants.

Certification Maintenance: Maintain active certification status as an instructor for AHA and ASHI courses. Stay updated on the latest guidelines, protocols, and advancements in medical training to deliver accurate and evidence-based instruction.

Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through ongoing assessment and feedback mechanisms. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall learning experience and outcomes for participants.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of medical trainers and instructors. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment conducive to professional growth and development.

Resource Management: Manage training resources, including equipment, supplies, and facilities, to ensure optimal utilization and availability. Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to procure necessary resources and support operational needs.

Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies related to medical training programs. Prepare documentation and reports for accreditation purposes as needed.

Continuous Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in medical education, instructional design, and healthcare delivery.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, Allied Health).
Current certification as an instructor for AHA and ASHI courses, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and ITLS.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical training and education, with demonstrated expertise in trauma care and resuscitation.
Strong instructional abilities, including effective communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Leadership experience in a healthcare or educational setting preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Additional Requirements:
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training schedules and participant needs.
Ability to travel locally or regionally for off-site training sessions, conferences, and meetings as required.
