Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time architectural scale model worker. The ideal candidate will have a passion for architecture, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in model-making techniques. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to exciting architectural projects while working flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
- Scale Model Construction: Build architectural scale models according to project specifications using various materials such as foam board, wood, acrylic, and cardboard.
- Precision Cutting and Assembly: Utilize precision cutting tools and techniques to accurately cut and assemble model components to scale.
- Detailing and Finishing: Apply finishing touches to models including painting, weathering, and adding small-scale details to enhance realism.
- Collaboration: Work closely with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure models accurately represent design concepts and meet project requirements.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure models meet the highest standards of accuracy and craftsmanship.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of materials used, time spent on each project, and any modifications made to models.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials and tools.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 - 5 year experience in scale modelling.
- A candidate who can read CAD files and other drawing materials voluntarily to build the model.
- Knowledge in lighting systems and other necessary electrical works for the model.
- Good knowledge in painting and landscaping.
- Skills in editing will be a plus point.
- A portfolio showcasing previous model-making work or related projects is highly desirable.
