Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Plumbing Design Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience specifically in plumbing design for building projects in the GGC/UAE region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed plumbing system design, including water supply, drainage, and sewage systems, in compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Performing comprehensive calculations for pipe sizing, water pressure, flow rates, and drainage capacity to ensure optimal system performance.
- Selecting appropriate plumbing materials, fixtures, and equipment based on project requirements, budget constraints, and sustainability considerations.
- Developing accurate plumbing plans, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Collaborating closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate plumbing systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards set forth by local authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Providing technical guidance and support to project teams during the construction phase, including responding to RFIs and conducting site inspections.
- Participating in design review meetings, value engineering exercises, and other project-related activities as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing design engineering, with a focus on building projects in the GGC/UAE region.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and equipment commonly used in building construction.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant design software.
- Familiarity with GGC/UAE building codes, regulations, and standards related to plumbing design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
