Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for Sales and Marketing of a quality supplier of Distribution & Special Duty Transformers in the Sultanate of Oman, GCC and MENA Region and achieve the projected sales revenues.
Interactions:
Internal: SBU Head, Departments related to production, Design, after-sales services; central services like Central Purchase, F&A, and HR & Admin.
External: Customers – Utilities, Contractors, Consultants, Traders, etc.
Key Accountabilities:
- Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximizing customer potential in designated regions;
- Travelling to visit potential clients;
- Developing and growing long-term relationships with customers;
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements - speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs;
- persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery;
- Making Quotation to clients;
- Negotiating tender and contract terms to meet both client and company needs;
- Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions;
- Offering after-sales support services;
- Analyzing product-wise, sector-wise and Country-wise Sales;
- Preparing Monthly reports – Order Lost and New Projects for Management;
- Meeting Monthly / Quarterly / Annual Sales targets;
- Recording and maintaining client contact data;
- Coordinating Sales Project Orders;
- Supporting marketing activities by attending trade Exhibitions, Seminars and other marketing events;
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs;
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education;
- Liaising with other members of the sales team and other Design team;
- Solving client problems;
- Helping in the design of custom-made products;
- Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team.
- Helping Head-Marketing Prepare annual sales budgets.
- Achieving the targeted sales and profitability.
- Keeping track of tenders from Utilities, Projects and the Oil & Gas Sector for Transformers.
- Due diligence on tenders and participation therein after consultations with internal departments.
- Ensuring timely invoicing and payments. Keeping track of and reducing receivables.
- Appraising F&A on customers credit issues and ratings.
- Competitor profiling and information, including market shares.

- Increase customer base and reach
- Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Sales Targets as per approved Budget
