Job Description
United Safety is looking to hire an Industrial Hygienist Technician for our operations in UAE.
Major responsibilities, include but not limited to:
- Develop and implement a complete Industrial Hygiene plan to interface with the Health Safety Environment Management Systems (HSEMS) plan.
- Evaluate and control the risk of ill health due to exposure of industrial processes.
- Advice on required monitoring equipment.
- Conduct or oversee the completion of workplace assessments and recommend corrective actions as required.
- Develop assessments ensuring all aspects of industrial hygiene requirements are captured.
- Prepare Reports that include analysis of agents, recommendations for control, and corrective actions.
- Interpret and advice on remedial action regarding monitoring results.
- Participate in investigations into suspected work exposure related health concerns.
- Advice and provide technical guidance and recommendations on how to correct hazardous conditions.
- Develop techniques to anticipate and control potentially dangerous situations in the workplace.
- Advice management and clients on regulatory compliance, standards, health hazard and risk assessment and control requirements.
- Interpret regulations, codes, and legislative standards as needed.
The candidate shall possess certification in industrial hygiene (CIH USA/ROH Canada/CMFOH UK or COH Australia) or safety (CSP USA/CRSP Canada/CMIOSHUK/Chartered OHS Professional Australia) with extensive professional work experience and training in respirator fit testing not only limited to operation of fit test equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor of Science, Biology, Chemistry degree or a degree/diploma in Industrial or Occupational Hygiene.
- Experience: 2-5 years of IH experience, 5+ years in the oil and gas industry.
