Duties

The incumbent serves as Office Manager for a federal law enforcement agency charged with conducting criminal investigations and national security activities and performs broad-ranging administrative functions to relieve superiors of routine details. Responsible for administration and financial management of NCIS' resources and activities, including budget preparation and reporting. Furnishes a wide range of senior office administration management and reports directly to the NICS Resident Agent in Charge (RAC). Responsible for procurement of contracts and supplies, computer network management, shipping and travel coordination and arrangements, personnel, and maintenance management for residential and official furnishings. Provides program support through logistics and procurement. Incumbent will represent NCIS during meetings with other low and mid-level representatives from other US Consulate and US Embassy sections and organizations. Additionally, incumbent may conduct liaison with host nation or third country nationals in furtherance of the NCIS mission.

Requirements:

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen Eligible Family Member (EFM) in order to apply.


EXPERIENCE
: Three years of office or financial management experience is required.


JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Incumbent performs assignments on own initiative and in accordance with the individual judgment, during lengthy absences of the assigned RAC and SAs. Uses own judgment as to the extent to which action can/should be taken.

Education Requirements:

Two years of full time post-secondary study at college or university is required.


Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: ENGLISH: Level 4 - Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate. This may be tested.


Additional skill test may be required.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


Knowledge of standard office equipment (telephones, computers, fax machines [secure and unsecure], copiers, etc.). Ability to research and find supporting data from a variety of sources. Skilled in the use of computer word processing, and bookkeeping software and other office equipment. Ability to manage office computer network. Skilled in preparing an office budget.


Ability to obtain and maintain the 'S" clearance.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
