We are seeking a highly motivated Inland Operations Team Lead based in Cairo, Egypt.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains a positive relationship while working closely with the staff
    to build a strong team through coaching, goal setting, and constructive
    feedback.
  • Researches and recommends best practices that can be followed.
    Ensures staff is focused on customer service and moving all loads
    legally within guidelines.
  • Builds strong working relationships with local carriers to ensure that
    Maersk is a cost leader.
  • Works directly with LOC team to address equipment concerns, in
    particular where customer needs are not being covered.
  • Works closely with operations, customers, trucking companies, and
    customer service to ensure movement of containers to the customer’s
    satisfaction.
  • Builds a strong working relationship with the local terminal management
    staff in order to ensure we achieve the most efficient movement of
    cargo.
  • Monitors, records and reports cost savings, unbudgeted expenses, service
    failures and empty equipment inventory to department manager, along with
    suitable recommendations.
Who are looking for
  • Bachelor’s Degree diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to focus on detail and to work independently.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Fluency in English & Arabic
  • Confident and effective communication with relevant internal and external stakeholders, your team, and Manager.
  • Ability to stay flexible and customer-centric while keeping in mind process and cost optimization need.
