Position: Project Manager - Smart Parking

Experience: 5Years

Location: Oman

Job Description:

1.Project Planning and Strategy

• Develop comprehensive project plans outlining goals, timelines, resources.
• Establish communication channels for project updates and feedback
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables

2.Project Execution and Management:

• Lead project teams through all phases of project execution, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance to stakeholders.

3.Smart Parking Technology Deployment:

• Oversee the installation and integration of smart parking technologies, including sensors, PEMS platforms, and mobile applications.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure necessary materials and services for project implementation.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including City, private partners.
• Facilitate regular meetings and workshops to gather feedback, address concerns, and provide project updates.

5. Quality Assurance and Performance Monitoring:

• Implement quality assurance processes to validate the functionality and reliability of smart parking systems.
• Monitor system performance, analyse data metrics, and identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes, gather lessons learned, and identify areas for future enhancement.

6. Risk Management and Contingency Planning:

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact project delivery, ensuring timely resolution.
• Develop contingency plans to manage unforeseen events and minimize disruptions to project timelines.

7. Resource Allocation:

• Allocate resources efficiently to support project activities, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

8. Regulatory Compliance and Permitting:

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing smart parking initiatives.
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities and regulatory bodies for project implementation.

9. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

• Identify opportunities for innovation and enhancement within smart parking systems and related technologies.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to inform project strategies.

10. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
• Generate regular progress reports and performance metrics for project stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and milestones.
• Prepare presentations and presentations for executive leadership.

11. Vendor Management and Contract Negotiation:

• Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors involved in project implementation
• Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes, and enforce compliance with contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in project management, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in smart city initiatives, IoT, or urban technology projects.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software tools.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
