Position: Head of Strategy (Real Estate Development)

Role Overview:
Our client, a prominent and innovative real estate developer in Dubai, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Strategy to join their executive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, preferably augmented with an MBA from a reputable institution. The Head of Strategy will be instrumental in shaping and driving the company's strategic initiatives, particularly in the realm of joint ventures, market expansion, and new business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and execute long-term strategic plans to achieve business objectives and sustain growth.
- Analyze market trends, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for expansion and innovation.
- Lead the strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and goals.
Joint Ventures and Partnerships:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic joint ventures and partnerships to enhance market position and business opportunities.
- Negotiate terms and oversee the implementation of joint venture agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Market Analysis and Business Development:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand per square foot prices, customer preferences, and emerging trends in the Dubai real estate market.
- Identify white spaces and new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Develop business cases for new projects, including feasibility studies, financial modeling, and risk assessments.
Project Management and Execution:
- Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives and major projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.
- Implement robust project management practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to other departments, aligning their efforts with the overall business strategy.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- MBA from a reputed institution.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 7-8 years of relevant experience in the UAE real estate market, preferably in a strategic or leadership role.
- Proven track record in setting up and managing joint ventures.
- In-depth understanding of Dubai's real estate market, including per square foot pricing and market dynamics.
