*Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team, specializing in Oil & Gas construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating and managing costs related to electrical and instrumentation components, ensuring project profitability and compliance with industry standards.
*Duties & responsibility:
Ø Cost Estimation:
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for E&I components based on project specifications.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, considering materials, labor, and other relevant factors.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to refine cost estimates as necessary.
Ø Budget Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets for E&I aspects of Oil & Gas construction projects.
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying and addressing any deviations.
- Provide regular reports on budget performance to project stakeholders.
Ø Contract Administration:
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure contractual terms align with project requirements and budget constraints.
- Administer contract variations and resolve commercial issues as they arise.
Ø Quantity Surveying:
- Perform ongoing quantity surveying to track and report on project progress.
- Validate and approve invoices from vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor quantities of materials used and work performed against contractual agreements.
Ø Risk Assessment:
- Identify potential risks related to E&I components and propose mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the project team to address risks and minimize their impact on the project.
Ø Cost Control:
- Implement effective cost control measures to optimize project expenditures.
- Conduct regular cost analyses and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with cost control policies and procedures.
*Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on E&I aspects in Oil & Gas construction projects.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
